Cutting a Toden Surface

Toden surfaces cut just like wood. The finer tooth blade you use, the cleaner the edge of the cut will be. When cutting any material, do it in a ventilated area with gloves and safety glasses on. Pro-tip: Make your cuts outside to reduce clean up.

Can You Cut Toden Surfaces?

Just like working with wood, be sure to wear gloves, safety glasses, and make your cuts outside. Toden surfaces cut just like pre-finished wood, and using a fine-tooth blade (60–80 teeth) will give you the cleanest results. Check out this video for a quick guide.

How to Add LED's for my Project?

Every Toden surface features an integrated groove that lets you add any LED or neon strip lighting—no tools, no mess. We call it Dark Mode. Whether you're setting the mood in a living room, adding drama to a fireplace wall, or highlighting your workspace, it's ambiance on demand. Compatible with all market-available LED strips, the groove makes it easy to create a modern, moody vibe in any installation. See it in action in this video

What is Bracket Spacing?

Toden wall brackets mount every 48 inches to cut down on stud hunting and for an easier installation. For extra-heavy loads, simply add more brackets wherever you need them. Here's some installation guide videos you may find helpful.

Since you can overhang up to 24" beyond a bracket, you can even split surface seams between supports 48" wide when using a Toden Extension Sleeves

How Deep are Toden Surfaces?

Sixteen inches hits the sweet spot between capacity and accessibility—tucking neatly behind most doors and into closets, maximizing usable space while keeping everything within easy arm’s reach.

Sixteen inches is also deep enough to hold standard storage bins, baskets, and books without forcing you to reach into a cavernous void.

How Do I Calculate What I Need?

Toden products are fully modular, designed to extend as long as you need. An easy approach for longer runs is to start with a Surface Kit - 72"W and add the necessary Surface Extension Kits - 72"W until you reach your desired wall length. Every kit includes wall-mounting brackets, pins, surfaces, and extensions sleeves to join it all together.

How Do I Mount in Corners?

Great question! We know corner installs can be tricky, so we designed Toden products to make them easy. Watch this video to see how our system handles corners with smart, simple solutions.

What LED Lights Do I Need?

Every Toden surface includes a built-in lighting groove, making it simple to integrate any standard LED strip or neon rope—see it in action here

For our top recommended add-ons, check out the Toden Setup Guide where we showcase the add-on products we trust.

How Much Can I Overhang?

Toden surfaces are engineered for safe overhangs up to 24 inches—far beyond anything else available. The robust surface design eliminates the need for extra support brackets, and handles corners with ease, here's a great video.

Can I Use a Diamond Blade?

Just like with wood, always wear gloves, safety glasses, and cut outdoors. Toden surfaces can be cut with a diamond blade for fast, clean results—though a fine-tooth wood blade works too. Here’s a video showing the cut process.
